Luftbilder Ostseefjord Schlei, Schloss Gottorf, Anflug Süden | Schloss Gottorf in Schleswig: Unter Herzog Friedrich III. (1597–1656) entwickelte sich Gottorf zu einem der bedeutendsten Fürstenhöfe Europas und zu einem kulturellen Zentrum Nordeuropas. In dieser Zeit entstanden der berühmte Gottorfer Riesenglobus, der Barockgarten und die reichen Sammlungen der Kunstkammer und Bibliothek. Künstler und Gelehrte wie Adam Olearius wurden an den Hof geholt, und Expeditionen bis in den Orient wurden gesandt.
